Chairman's Message

 

Welcome!  This is the official website of the New York State Public Employee Conference (NYSPEC).  We have recently revised it to make it more useful for our members and for those interested in learning more about us, so feel free to navigate it; check out our impressive list of member unions and see what we’re about!
 
NYSPEC is growing each year as more and more unions recognize the reality of strength in numbers, We’re regularly adding more and more members, both in civilian and uniform titles, and that has made us a force to be reckoned with!  I’m extremely proud of the progress we’ve made.  Considering all the ongoing problems the labor movement deals with, most recently the upsurge in the onslaught of attacks targeting pensions and benefits, particularly in the public sector, it is now more important than ever for unions to band together.
 
NYSPEC is a very democratic organization; with input from our individual unions, we fight the battles that need to be fought to protect our members.
