As you are aware, the COVID-19 Coronavirus death benefit law (Chapter 89 of 2020) expires today.
Governor Cuomo, by Executive Order (No. 202.87) has extended the law for 30 days, through January 29, 2021.
As agreed to at our annual meeting on December 10, making this law permanent will be NYSPEC’s number one legislative priority in 2021.
I wish you, your family, and your members a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year, and hope that 2021 brings us all back to some sort of normalcy
