I write to update you on PEC’s legislative efforts with respect to the current pandemic.
Our goal is to protect our members, and ultimately their families, should they be victimized by the current pandemic. I have been in contact with legislators and staff, and they are working on legislation to that end. However, because of the less-than-optimal operating conditions, the process is not moving forward as quickly as it normally would.
Please be assured that we, and our partners in the legislature, are working diligently to benefit our public employees and all those laboring to get through this unprecedented situation.
