NYSPEC Conference Call with OSC on Wednesday May 6, 2020

April 30, 2020

NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli contacted me regarding a conference call with NYSPEC members.  He wants to update our membership on the economic situation in New York, and answer some important questions our members may have.

I will be hosting the “NYSPEC Economic Summit 2020” from 2 to 3 p.m. onWednesday, May 6, for members to call in, hear the presentation, and have some questions answered.

Because of the anticipated large number of participants – and the very real potential for them talking at the same time and over one another – there will not be time allotted for questions while the conference call is happening; alternatively, however, questions may be submitted by me in advance so that they may be addressed in the presentation.  Questions must be submitted tome by the close of business Friday, May 1, and any questions not answered satisfactorily during the presentation should be emailed to me following the call, and will be answered in a follow-up email.

Please advise me via my email if you plan to participate in the call, and I will apprise you of the call-in details upon finalization.

I will introduce the comptroller, and he will greet those on the call and proceed with his presentation.  Also participating from the OSC will beDeputy Comptroller for the Retirement System Colleen Gardner, and Labor LiaisonKathy McCormack.

Additionally, OSC acknowledges that it has been inundated with emails during this unprecedented period.  Any member who has been unable to make contact regarding COVID or other pressing retirement issues should forward the member contact info to me, and I will get it to OSC for response as soon as practicable.

 In Unity,

Peter D. Meringolo

Chairman
